Product Engineer - Machine Shop - Amherst, NH
The Product Engineer will act as the primary technical liaison between the manufacturing team and customers, ensuring effective communication and understanding of product requirements. This role involves gathering customer feedback, addressing inquiries, and collaborating with cross functional teams to align manufacturing processes with customer expectations, resulting in successful product delivery and customer satisfaction.

My client is a prominent provider of intricate, high-volume, fine-walled castings, as well as fully-assembled subunits and parts derived from castings. It holds a leading position in terms of production volume, shortened production timelines, and on-time manufacturing. Operating across various global sectors, the company produces diverse castings in numerous alloys for clients in industries like automotive, aerospace, and beyond.
Description
This role will report directly into the Director of Engineering and be responsible for:
- Collaborates with customers to finalize manufacturing documentation, ensuring approval for production qualification, and optimizing component design for cost-effective production.
- Addresses and resolves manufacturing challenges, including inspection and testing issues, by initiating corrective actions.
- Defines equipment specifications, enhances manufacturing techniques, and integrates new process equipment while coordinating with design teams.
- Evaluates engineering changes, liaises with production planning and engineering, and suggests improvements for product quality and procedures.
- Provides advisory support for production analysis, compiles data, prepares technical assessments, and recommends methods to meet design objectives for new/improved products.

- Blueprint interpreting and technical writing skills
- Measuring techniques and methodologies knowledge
- Program management knowledge
- Customer interfacing experience a plus
