Description

Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of work.
  • Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and material pricing to determine project costs.
  • Utilize estimating software and tools to prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals.
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Analyze project risks and opportunities to develop competitive pricing strategies.
  • Present estimates to management and participate in bid review meetings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and materials to ensure competitiveness in bids.
  • Assist in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives as required.

Profile

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably within general contracting.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Procore, PlanSwift, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and building codes.
  • Understanding of project scheduling and sequencing.
  • Familiarity with LEED principles and sustainable construction practices (preferred but not required).
