Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant position in Commerce offers the opportunity to oversee daily financial operations, including reconciliations, accounts receivable, and chargeback management. This role also involves contributing to the company's growth by assisting in ERP implementation, data analysis, and financial planning under the guidance of the CFO.
Client Details
Our Client is a dynamic fashion retailer experiencing rapid growth. They operate in both direct-to-consumer and wholesale markets, utilizing platforms like Shopify for online sales.
Description
- Oversee daily reconciliation of Shopify sales sweeps and manage online sales transactions.
- Handle accounts receivable, including chargebacks and daily follow-ups, ensuring timely resolution.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations and address any discrepancies or issues.
- Collaborate with AP Clerk transitioning to Junior Accountant role, providing guidance and support.
- Assist in the implementation of ADP and other ERP systems, leveraging previous ERP experience.
- Perform project-based tasks with CFO, including financial planning and analysis.
- Identify and correct discrepancies in the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
- Utilize Excel skills for data analysis, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, and assist in data cleanup.
- Support CFO in organizing historical financial data and streamlining accounting processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, particularly in apparel and consumer packaged goods (CPG) sectors.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in apparel or CPG industries.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, experience with Full Circle a plus.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Shopify and online sales reconciliation preferred
