In this role you will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Managing continuous improvement projects by leading initiatives, providing status updates, completing action items, setting goals, establishing priorities, managing resources, and developing action plans.
- Overseeing assigned project management programs.
- Leveraging Lean principles to design and execute new manufacturing processes, methodologies, and equipment layouts to enhance overall equipment effectiveness.
- Evaluating plant performance relative to goals and adjusting action plans accordingly.
- Possessing a solid understanding of Lean principles and tools, along with practical knowledge of the manufacturing and injection molding floor.
- Analyzing process flow and value stream layouts to recommend improvements.
- Performing system and business process analyses to identify, recommend, and implement modifications that improve efficiency and overall plant performance.
- Improving and optimizing manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Problem-solving product non-conformance by investigating and eliminating root causes.
- Understanding process and equipment limitations to enhance manufacturing efficiencies.
- Participating in the development and improvement of technical operating instructions.
- Designing and implementing new manufacturing processes and equipment, including documentation and training.
- Supporting new automation initiatives and providing lead support once they are launched into production.
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- 3-5+ years of working with plastic materials
- Injection Molding experience required
- Hands-on mentality
- Troubleshooting familiarity
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
