Manufacturing Engineer - Metal CNC - Lancaster, PA

My client is a U.S.-based manufacturer specialising in cold-formed and machined metal components, serving aerospace, automotive, defense, and industrial markets with a strong emphasis on quality, efficiency, and customer collaboration.
Description
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for CNC machining and related operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards.
- Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and 5S practices.
- Support new product introduction by developing manufacturing plans and process documentation.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
- Train and mentor operators and technicians on best practices and process improvements.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivelent CNC experience
- 3+ years of experience in CNC manufacturing, preferably in a regulated industry (aerospace, medical devices, automotive, or defense).
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma).
- Hands-on experience with CNC programming, tooling, and process optimization.
- Experience with Quoting
- Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
