Data Analyst / Business Analytics Consultant

We are seeking a long-term Data Analyst contractor with strong potential for conversion to a full-time role. This is a W2-only position and requires on site work 5 days a week. No visa sponsorship is available.

Description

Dashboard Production Oversight:

Oversee and coordinate the review and approval process for dashboards across the bank, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational standards.

BI Dashboard Development:

Leverage Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Qlik Sense) to develop interactive dashboards. Create visualizations that effectively monitor performance (KPIs and KRIs), diagnose issues, provide data-driven solutions, and enable stakeholders to make informed decisions.

In-depth Analysis:

Conduct thorough analysis of complex datasets to uncover hidden trends, patterns, and anomalies. Deliver actionable insights to stakeholders, driving data-enabled decision-making and fostering continuous improvement across the organization.

Advanced Analytics:

Identify high-impact opportunities and apply advanced analytics techniques to address business challenges, enhance performance, and mitigate risks. Utilize predictive modeling, machine learning, and other advanced methods to unlock deeper insights and drive strategic initiatives.

Automation:

Assist in the development and implementation of automated solutions to streamline business processes and reporting procedures. Enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and ensure consistent, accurate data delivery through automation.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Gather and evaluate specific data requirements from business stakeholders, propose tailored data solutions through analytics, and effectively communicate these solutions. Engage with DA teams across the bank to oversee the dashboard production approval process, providing necessary approvals or offering rectification recommendations as needed.

Presentation and Communication:

Create effective presentation decks to present data analysis results to stakeholders and management.

Advocacy and Education: Promote data analytics best practices and technology adoption within the organization.

Profile

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably Master's Degree, in computer science/statistics/applied analytics/business analytics or other analytics relevant majors.
• 3+ years of working experience in data analytics, dashboard development
• 2+ years of SQL & Python experience
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst (minimum 2 years).
• Proficiency in: SQL (e.g., dynamic SQL, stored procedures), Statistical Packages (e.g., Python) for analyzing datasets, Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Qlik Sense，Tableau, Power BI) for visualization.
• Technical expertise in ETL, machine learning, data mining, and segmentation techniques a plus.
• Analytical, Attention to Details, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and Business acumen
• Communication and presentation (written and verbal)
