Controller-Property Management

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Controller to oversee financial operations for our Property Management division. This role requires strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of accounting & finance in the property management sector.

Description

• As the Controller-Property Management you will oversee financial operations for our property management division, you will report to the VP of Accounting and Finance and work closely with the CFO.
• Oversee the Property Management Accounting team comprised of an Accounting Manager, Senior Accountants, Staff Accountants, and the Accounts Payable team.
• Ensure legal compliance in all financial functions.
• Prepare reliable and timely financial statements.
• Provide leadership to the accounting and finance department.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities across the properties.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage internal controls.
• Implement efficient systems and processes to achieve operational efficiency.
• Mentor, train any new accounting hires.

Profile

A successful Controller-Property Management should have:

• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• CPA or MBA is preferred.
• Proven experience in an Accounting leadership role within property management, specifically overseeing the Accounting and Finance for a large portfolio (minimum 25 properties/ 5,000 units).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• This role is based on-site in Las Vegas, NV.

Job Offer

• As the Controller-Property Management you can expect an attractive salary range of approximately $155,000 - $170,000 plus bonus.
