Construction Project Manager - Ground Up - New Jersey
A leading general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee ground-up construction projects in the commercial and industrial sectors throughout Central and Northern New Jersey. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep knowledge of field operations, scheduling, budgeting, and client relationships.

Description
Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of ground-up construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and quality execution
Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and consultants
Lead project meetings and deliver regular progress reports to stakeholders
Identify risks and resolve issues proactively to keep projects on track
Profile
The Successful Candidate
10+ years of experience managing ground-up commercial or industrial construction projects
Proven ability to manage multiple mid-size projects or one large-scale job ($10M-$50M+)
Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Procore), budgeting, and contract negotiation
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable managing both field and office aspects of construction
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
