The EHS Coordinator - Manufacturing is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations at the manufacturing facility. This role focuses on hazardous waste management, safety training programs, and workers' compensation administration to maintain a safe and compliant workplace. This will be a hands on role focusing on preventative safety and compliance. You will report into the EHS Manager and work on a team of 4 EHS professionals. Description
The EHS Coordinator - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
- Oversee proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (EPA, OSHA, DOT).
- Maintain accurate records of waste generation, manifests, and disposal activities.
- Conduct regular inspections of hazardous waste storage areas and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with certified vendors for waste transportation and disposal.
- Develop, schedule, and deliver safety training sessions for employees, including new hire orientation and annual refresher courses.
- Ensure training content meets OSHA standards and company policies.
- Track and maintain training records in the EHS management system.
- Promote a culture of safety through toolbox talks, signage, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Serve as the primary contact for workplace injury reporting and investigation.
- Coordinate with HR and insurance providers to manage workers' compensation claims.
- Monitor return-to-work programs and ensure compliance with medical restrictions.
- Analyze injury trends and recommend preventive measures to reduce incidents.

Profile
The ideal EHS Coordinator - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
- 0-4+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to conduct training and engage employees at all levels.
