Description

The Quality Manager (Aerospace) will:

• Develop and implement quality management strategies aligned with business goals.
• Oversee quality standards for processes, materials, and finished products.
• Implement and maintain procedures for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data.
• Work closely with production, lab, and other departments to ensure quality compliance.
• Interface with customers to address quality concerns and ensure satisfaction.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints, implementing corrective actions.
• Manage internal and external audits, ensuring regulatory and industry compliance (FAA, NADCAP, OSHA, etc.).
• Establish and maintain precision measurement programs for production and testing equipment.
• Train and lead quality inspection and laboratory teams, ensuring adherence to standards.
• Conduct job audits and oversee cause-and-corrective action processes.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry regulations and plating specifications.
• Perform employee performance evaluations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement at the Newington, CT facility.

Profile

The successful Quality Manager (Aerospace) will have:

• 5+ years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing or related industry.
• Proven supervisory or management experience leading quality teams.
• Strong knowledge of NADCAP requirements and regulatory compliance (FAA, OSHA, EPA, etc.).
• Experience in project management and process improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with plating industry standards and specifications is a plus.
• Ability to analyze and interpret quality data to drive improvements.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in PC-based quality management systems and reporting tools.
• Experience conducting audits and implementing corrective actions.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (Industrial Engineering, Management, Industrial Technology).
