Description
The Quality Manager (Aerospace) will:
- Develop and implement quality management strategies aligned with business goals.
- Oversee quality standards for processes, materials, and finished products.
- Implement and maintain procedures for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data.
- Work closely with production, lab, and other departments to ensure quality compliance.
- Interface with customers to address quality concerns and ensure satisfaction.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints, implementing corrective actions.
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring regulatory and industry compliance (FAA, NADCAP, OSHA, etc.).
- Establish and maintain precision measurement programs for production and testing equipment.
- Train and lead quality inspection and laboratory teams, ensuring adherence to standards.
- Conduct job audits and oversee cause-and-corrective action processes.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry regulations and plating specifications.
- Perform employee performance evaluations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement at the Newington, CT facility.
Profile
The successful Quality Manager (Aerospace) will have:
- 5+ years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing or related industry.
- Proven supervisory or management experience leading quality teams.
- Strong knowledge of NADCAP requirements and regulatory compliance (FAA, OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Experience in project management and process improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with plating industry standards and specifications is a plus.
- Ability to analyze and interpret quality data to drive improvements.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in PC-based quality management systems and reporting tools.
- Experience conducting audits and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (Industrial Engineering, Management, Industrial Technology).
