As an Assistant Safety Manager, you'll work hands-on at project sites, supporting safety planning, compliance, and education directly with project teams across multiple job sites, supporting the development, implementation, and enforcement of company-wide safety policies. Description

• Support day-to-day safety operations across multiple job sites

• Assist in conducting safety audits, site inspections, and toolbox talks

• Help maintain compliance with OSHA and local regulations

• Participate in incident investigations and reporting

• Support the development of job-specific safety plans

• Keep safety documentation organized and up to date

• Promote and model our safety-first mindset to all field teams

Profile

• Bachelor's in Occupational Safety and Health Engineering (preferred: NJIT or similar program)

• 0-2 years of construction safety experience (internships/co-ops welcome)

• Familiarity with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and general construction safety practices

• Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel to job sites across NJ

• The following certifications are preferred (or must be obtained within the first 6-12 months):

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety

  • First Aid / CPR / AED Certification

  • Hazard Communication (HazCom)

  • Fall Protection Awareness

  • Scaffold Safety Training

  • Confined Space Entry Awareness

  • Silica Awareness Training

  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)

  • Powered Industrial Truck Safety (e.g., forklift awareness)
