This is an entry-level opportunity perfect for a candidate who possesses a B.S. in Occupational Safety and Health Engineering- from NJIT or a similar program.

As an Assistant Safety Manager, you'll work hands-on at project sites, supporting safety planning, compliance, and education directly with project teams across multiple job sites, supporting the development, implementation, and enforcement of company-wide safety policies. Description
Support day-to-day safety operations across multiple job sites
Assist in conducting safety audits, site inspections, and toolbox talks
Help maintain compliance with OSHA and local regulations
Participate in incident investigations and reporting
Support the development of job-specific safety plans
Keep safety documentation organized and up to date
Promote and model our safety-first mindset to all field teams
Profile
Bachelor's in Occupational Safety and Health Engineering (preferred: NJIT or similar program)
0-2 years of construction safety experience (internships/co-ops welcome)
Familiarity with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and general construction safety practices
Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel to job sites across NJ

The following certifications are preferred (or must be obtained within the first 6-12 months):
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety
First Aid / CPR / AED Certification
Hazard Communication (HazCom)
Fall Protection Awareness
Scaffold Safety Training
Confined Space Entry Awareness
Silica Awareness Training
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Powered Industrial Truck Safety (e.g., forklift awareness)
