Manufacturing Engineer - Process Planning - Salem, MA
This Manufacturing Engineer - Process Planning position will be responsible for creating, refining, and documenting processes for CNC turning and milling operations. The role blends hands-on manufacturing support with strategic process planning to boost efficiency, quality, and throughput.

Description
In this role you will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and will:
- Develop and document CNC turning and milling process plans.
- Interpret CAD/CAM drawings for accurate design and dimensioning.
- Create setup instructions, tooling, and fixture requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Implement process improvements to boost efficiency and quality.
- Maintain process documentation in the MRP/ERP system.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Provide hands-on shop floor process support.
Profile
A successful Manufacturing Engineer - Process Planning should have:
- Associate's degree or equivalent; Bachelor's preferred
- 5+ years CNC turning and milling experience
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM and dimensioning standards
- MRP/ERP experience preferred
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Able to work independently and on the shop floor
