Project Coordinator
This tight-knit retail GC has been thriving in business for 15 years, showcasing their expertise and dedication. With an exceptional backlog in the multifamily space, they continue to demonstrate their strong presence and capability in the industry.
Client Details
My client is a well-established construction company with 38 years of expertise in the retail sector. This medium-sized general contractor, comprising around 25 team members split across project managers, superintendents, and office/support staff, specializes in small to midscale commercial developments. Their portfolio includes projects such as office spaces, healthcare facilities, light industrial buildings, tenant improvements, and restaurants, all concentrated within the Indianapolis area. The company prides itself on fostering a collaborative atmosphere that promotes continuous learning and leadership opportunities for its employees. They are looking for an individual with a construction background who is all about providing support to project teams.
Description
- Support the project management team.
- Manage project files.
- Draft and finalize client agreements.
- Collect lien waivers.
- Handle all documentation tasks.
- Request necessary insurance certificates.
- Provide support throughout all project phases.
- Collaborate with the Controller to ensure accurate cost code usage.
- Assist with organizing weekly project reports.
- Maintain subcontractor insurance.
- Issue subcontractor contracts as directed by the Project Manager.
- Prepare and submit permits and municipal submittals.
- Report directly to the CFO.
Profile
- 2+ years of construction experience
- High school diploma or equivalent, college degree prefered
- Organizational skills
- Communication skills
- Experience with construction related software preferred but not necessary
- Ability to work with subcontractors and vendors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
