My client is in search of a qualified and innovative Test Engineer to join their Engineering & Manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing comprehensive suites of automation test plans and test cases, maintaining documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software, among other duties.

Description

In this role, the Test Engineer's responsibilities will include the following items:

• Execute test plans and create test cases to ensure the quality of software applications.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
• Monitor debugging process results.
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
• Participate in application planning meetings.
• Ensure compliance with standard industry practices.

Profile

A successful 'Test Engineer' should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proven work experience in software development.
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
