Risk Assessment Consultant
The Risk Assessment Consultant role involves supporting the Risk Assessment Officer in developing and executing compliance risk assessments across various areas, including BSA/AML, sanctions, and fraud. Key responsibilities include analyzing data, identifying risk factors, coordinating training, and drafting assessment reports while ensuring adherence to regulations and internal controls.

Our client is a New York City branch of a major financial institution, offering a range of banking and financial services, catering primarily to corporate clients and international businesses. It serves as a key hub for facilitating trade, investment, and financial transactions between globally, providing services such as corporate loans, foreign exchange, and investment banking. They are actively looking to hire one Risk Assessment Consultant for a 6 month contract.
Description
The Risk Assessment Consultant will be responsible for the following:
- Support the development and execution of compliance risk assessments.
- Participate in creating and maintaining assessments for BSA/AML and fraud.
- Identify and analyze compliance risk factors and internal controls.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams on relevant regulations.
Profile
The Risk Assessment Consultant should have the following background:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years in BSA/AML, Sanctions, Corporate Compliance, Fraud, or Anti-Bribery roles.
- 2+ years in Risk Assessment support (preferred).
- Relevant certification (e.g., ACAMS, ACFCS, CFE) preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of compliance laws and regulations.
Job Offer
The offer for this successful Risk Assessment Consultant contains a competitive hourly pay rate plus benefits for the duration of a 6 month contract with opportunity to extend.
