We are currently partnered up with a rapidly growing Medical Device Manufacturing Company in their search to add a Staff Accountant to the team due to growth. This position will report into the Controller and will work very closely with outside consultants as well. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience and is able to work independently. Description
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the following:
- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions.
- AP - Follow up on approvals; research payment issues and provide resolutions
- AR - Process credit card transactions; Follow up on 90+ day balances; research payment issues and provide resolutions
- Manage company expense reports and reimbursements, ensuring adherence to SOX compliance standards.
- Reconcile bank statements, fixed assets, and prepaid accounts monthly.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
- Record Accruals for various accounts.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Assist with audits, including providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Support month, quarter, and year-end close processes.
- Provide support for Accounting Manager w/ ad-hoc tasks and initiatives to address evolving business and accounting needs.
Profile
The successful Staff Accountant will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- 2+ years of experience in an accounting based role
- Experience with QuickBooks or NetSuite a plus
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
Job Offer
The Staff Accountant will be rewarded with the following:
- Base Salary of $65,000-$85,000 depending on experience
- PTO

- Ability to work from home 3 days a week
