Assistant Project Manager
As an Assistant Project Manager on the engineering side, you will play a critical role in supporting project execution, ensuring technical accuracy, and maintaining effective communication across teams. Our client is a leading general contractor specializing in building and construction of large-scale commercial construction projects across Ontario, CA. With a reputation for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, we are committed to excellence in every aspect of our work. We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Ontario to join our dynamic team.
Description
The Assistant Project Manager will:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing large commercial construction projects.
- Review and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and contracts.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and on-site teams to ensure projects meet technical requirements.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks or issues during project execution.
- Provide technical support and problem-solving during construction phases.
- Facilitate communication between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project deadlines.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in large commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction processes, and project management.
- Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
