Preconstruction Manager
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the preconstruction department with premier Colorado-based GC.
Client Details
This Colorado based construction company is a leading General Contractor/Construction Manager established more than 70 years ago. They are a leader in the Colorado market with a track record of excellent clients and a strong pipeline of diverse commercial projects. The company prides itself on its family atmosphere and has established a fantastic company culture for all employees. They are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent to join the team.
Description
- Supervise and coordinate the work of the Preconstruction Department
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements and identify potential cost factors
- Utilize industry-standard estimation software and tools to generate detailed and competitive bids
- Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to obtain pricing and cost information.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field, and at least 5 years of commercial construction experience.
- Knowledge and experience providing conceptual and detailed cost estimates on multiple disciplines for new construction and renovation projects. We are looking for someone with strong construction knowledge and the ability to develop estimates without drawings.
- Accuracy is critical for success in this role. Candidate must have superior organizational and communication (both written and verbal) skills, as well as ability to meet tight deadlines.
