Superintendent - Mission Critical Construction

$120,000 - $175,000/Year

This Superintendent role involves leading on-site construction for mission critical projects-including data centers and high-tech facilities-ranging from $5M to $40M in the Northern Virginia region. You'll oversee field operations, manage subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, and work closely with project teams to deliver complex builds on time and within budget.

Description

As Superintendent, you'll lead day-to-day field operations on large-scale mission critical projects ranging from $5M to $40M. You'll coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and owners to maintain schedule, quality, and safety expectations while representing the company on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all on-site construction activities and ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards

  • Direct and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field staff

  • Lead daily safety meetings and enforce strict safety protocols

  • Maintain strong communication with project teams, clients, and inspectors

  • Resolve field conflicts, RFIs, and site logistics challenges

  • Conduct quality inspections and ensure all installations meet project specifications

  • Oversee project documentation, daily reports, and site progress tracking

  • Represent the company as the lead field contact for mission critical clients

Profile

  • 5-10+ years of superintendent experience, with a focus on mission critical, data center, or pharmaceutical/cleanroom projects

  • Proven ability to manage complex MEP-heavy jobs with strict scheduling demands

  • Experience working in a CM/GC capacity overseeing subcontractors

  • Knowledge of construction management software and field reporting tools

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (required)

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving ability

  • Must be local to Northern Virginia or open to regular on-site work in the region

Job Offer

  • Bonuses: Two annual bonuses (April and November) totaling 9%-15%

  • Vehicle Program: $850/month allowance or company-provided vehicle

  • Fuel Card + Cell Phone Allowance ($50/month)

  • PTO:

    • 4 weeks PTO if you have 10+ years of experience

    • 3 weeks PTO if under 10 years
