Senior Financial Analyst - Rockville Centre, NY
Client Details
Our client is a large, mission‑driven healthcare provider offering a full continuum of medical and human services across hospitals, long‑term care facilities, home health programs, and specialty practices. - Prepare and review Medicare, Medicaid, and other third‑party cost reports with full regulatory compliance.
- Analyze reimbursement trends, regulatory changes, and payer contract terms to assess financial impact.
- Build financial models to project reimbursement based on volume, case mix, and payer mix changes.
- Collaborate with managed care, revenue accounting, and revenue cycle teams to evaluate payer performance.
- Monitor CMS updates and payment methodologies including DRG, APC, and OPPS, as well as value‑based models.
- Conduct variance analyses comparing expected vs. actual reimbursement.
- Support external audits and government inquiries with thorough documentation.
- Assist with month‑end close processes tied to third‑party reserves and reporting.
- Prepare required filings and submissions such as CQR, CFR, CBR, Public Goods, Statewide/Cash Assessment, DSH audits, and OASAS/OMH claims.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise and mentorship to junior analysts.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field; CPA, MBA, or MHA preferred.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in healthcare reimbursement, cost reporting, or financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and payment systems.
- Advanced Excel skills with proficiency in financial modeling; experience with Access, Lawson, Strata, or Epic is beneficial.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and multitasking abilities.
Job Offer
- Salary: $90,000-$100,000 annually, depending on experience.
- Hybrid schedule with onsite time required for training and key team sessions [3 months].
