Staff Accountant
Our client, a well-established construction company based in Bergen County, NJ, is looking for an Accountant. This is a FTE role and the successful candidate must have experience with ProCore construction software.
Client Details
Well-established construction company based in Bergen County, NJ. This role is 5 days per week in office, and offers someone with ProCore ERP software experience a chance to work to with a leading construction firm in the area.
Description
This role will involve:
- Report to the Controller or other Project Managers as required
- Subcontractor onboarding
- Procurement of: Master Subcontract, W9, Certificate of Insurance
- Site Safety Manual distribution and collection of acknowledgement forms
- Construction Management software
- Maintain contact list
- Enter new projects
- Create and issue Request for Price packages and follow up on bids due for existing clients as well as potential new clients.
- Enter budgets, receipts, invoices
- Generate Subcontracts, Subcontractor Change Orders, supplier Purchase Orders
- Generate client Change Orders
- Maintain up-to-date Certificate of Insurance and indicate status
- Prepare client contracts to be approved and signed
- Update contracts according to client requirements and issuing associated budget amendments
- Provide Project Managers and clients with timely financial reports and budgets
- Prepare Unbilled report weekly and meet with the controller on all items within
- Prepare Job Cost reports and meet with the Controller to review Cost & Profit margins
- Prepare pre-billing reports for Project Managers to review
- Generate client invoices
- Procure all Close Out documents for construction projects
- Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required
- maintain a digital filing system
- Research on various topics
- Handle multiple projects
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Data entry
- Procure documents needed for project permitting needs i.e. signed and sealed plans, jacket, tech sheets, and specific required documentation needed to gain approvals.
- Client liaison on special project requests
- Develop, maintain, and obtain approvals for specifications and develop and maintain the 'spec book' for applicable projects.
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
• Knowledge of ProCore construction management systems• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
