People Operations Manager - Onsite in NYC - $180K+Equity
This is the first People Operations hire. The role is perfect for someone who is passionate about the people function, love the idea of creating systems from scratch, and shaping the future of the entire employee experience globally. This person will run the full employee life cycle, managing payroll and benefits in-house, and shaping policies. You'll also work directly with the COO and CEO as a true partner. Onsite in NYC and up to $180K base +equity.

They have a strong financial backing and plan to double in 2026. They want someone who approaches People Operations with an innovative approach, and are comfortable experimenting, and solving problems in conjunction with c-suite leaders.
Description
- Full employee lifecycle ownership.
- Benefits and payroll through Rippling.
- Experience with compensation and discussing equities.
- Experience owning, designing, and implementing people systems and processes.
- Ability to partner with C-Suite individuals and be a true seat at the table.
- Quarterly travel to the UK.
Profile
- 6 to 10 years of experience.
- Startup background.
- Experience with broader operations (not just HR) at a startup.
- Comfortable wearing many hats - (People Operations/Chief of Staff).
- Strong problem‑solving and strategic thinking.
- Experience handling equity is a must.
- Able to travel quarterly.
