Michael Page has partnered with a respected real estate investment firm in Houston who are looking for an exceptional Analyst to join their Asset Management team.
Client Details
Our Client is a respected mixed use owner and operator who have a major presence in the Houston market. They have a strong track record of delivering excellent results for their investors.
Description
Reporting to the Director of Asset Management, the Analyst, Asset Management will provide analytical, operational, and financial support to ensure that all business plans are successful. The Analyst, Asset Management will underwrite and value real estate by building property level financial models and performing DCF and/or direct capitalization analysis.
Other Responsibilities will include but no be limited to:
- Review and analyze business plans, loan documents, lease approvals, construction draws, leasing activity and monthly property operating performance
- Working in a collaborative fashion with in house property managers, lease administrators, leasing agents, legal counsel, auditors and accountants.
- Prepare reports for lenders, institutional partners, and the Investment Committee
- Develop and distribute periodic asset management reports to investors, consultants and other partners
- Negotiate third party contracts.
- Participate in the annual budget process.
- Analyze weekly and monthly operating reports from property managers
- Understand different financial evaluation methods related to valuation and performance of real estate (such as IRRs, NPVs, WACCs, etc.)
- Analyze market and submarket comps and track against portfolio performance
- Manage asset management files and records
- Work with Acquisitions team to develop asset business plans
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures to maintain effective internal controls
Profile
- B.S. Degree in Accounting/Finance and 1-3 years equivalent experience within Asset Management or similar.
- Open to asset exposure - ideally mixed use, especially retail and office etc.
- ARGUS experience preferred.
- Experience with capital improvement project management
- Experience at interpreting limited partnership agreements, financial statements, and regulatory documents
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly with limited oversight
Job Offer
Market driven base salary plus bonus potential along with benefits such as health insurance, retirement etc. Targeting a base salary in the $70,000 to $85,000 depending on experience.
