A leading general contractor is seeking an experienced Healthcare Superintendent to oversee ground-up and renovation healthcare construction projects in the Syosset, NY area. Description
Manage all field operations for healthcare construction projects
Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and equipment
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards
Communicate project updates with internal teams and clients
Oversee inspections and resolve field issues promptly
Maintain project timelines and ensure on-time delivery
Profile
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong track record in healthcare construction, particularly within active medical environments. They excel in communication, schedule management, and subcontractor coordination. Knowledge of infection control protocols (ICRA) is a plus. They are decisive, safety-focused, and capable of leading teams under pressure.
7+ years of total construction experience
3+ years of experience specifically as a Superintendent on healthcare construction projects
Proven track record managing ground-up and renovation builds in active healthcare environments
OSHA 30 certification required
Familiarity with ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) standards preferred
Strong ability to manage subcontractors and maintain project timelines
Excellent communication and leadership skills
