Production Supervisor - Manufacturing - Springfield, MA

This Production Supervisor will oversee daily shop‑floor execution. You will lead hourly production employees and floor leads while maintaining a strong presence on the manufacturing floor. The Supervisor will be responsible for workflow coordination, problem‑solving, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting training, scheduling, and inventory needs.

Description

This Production Supervisor will:

• Oversee day‑to‑day manufacturing operations and floor execution
• Lead, coach, and develop hourly production employees and floor leads
• Drive performance in safety, quality, productivity, cost, and continuous improvement
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, process defects, and equipment‑related issues
• Maintain strong shop‑floor presence to support troubleshooting and employee coaching
• Provide on‑the‑floor training and ensure adherence to work instructions, SOPs, and safety standards
• Support production scheduling, resource allocation, inventory flow, and shift coordination
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to improve workflow and meet production targets

Profile

A successful Production Supervisor should have:

• 5+ years of experience as a Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Supervisor
• Background in fabrication, machining, assembly, welding, or related manufacturing operations
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and SOPs
• Strong coaching, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities
• Comfortable being highly present on the production floor
• Lean or Continuous Improvement exposure preferred but not required
• High School Diploma required (no degree necessity)
