PCB Sales Engineer - Franklin TN
The Sales Engineer will act as the bridge between customers and engineering/ production teams, helping OEM and industrial customers integrate PCB-based solutions into their products. You'll combine your technical understanding of electrical components (ideally PCBs) with strong relationship-building skills to drive revenue growth, support design-in activities, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role is based in Franklin, TN.

We are partnering with a global manufacturing leader in electrical components that is expanding its footprint in the United States through a strategic joint venture. As part of this growth, we are looking for a technically strong, commercially driven Sales Engineer to support and grow key customer relationships in the printed circuit board (PCB) space.

Description
Customer Engagement & Business Development
- Manage and grow a portfolio of OEM and industrial accounts across the US.
- Identify new opportunities for PCB and electrical component solutions within existing and prospective customers.
- Lead technical sales discussions, presentations, and product demonstrations.
Technical Support & Application Engineering
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into product specifications and solutions.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to develop proposals, quotations, and custom solutions.
- Review and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and technical drawings to advise on feasibility and design options.
- Provide technical guidance throughout the full sales cycle-from design-in to production ramp-up.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with global manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of customer projects.
- Support qualification, testing, and validation activities as needed.
- Track opportunities, pipeline, and activities in CRM and contribute accurate forecasts.
Market & Product Insight
- Stay current on trends in PCBs, electrical components, and relevant end markets.
- Provide feedback from customers to inform product roadmap, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
Location & Work Setup
- Primary Location: Franklin, Tennessee
- Relocation: Candidates willing to relocate to the Franklin, TN area are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Some domestic travel is required to visit customers and attend key meetings/events; occasional international travel may be required.
Profile
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
- (or equivalent combination of technical training and relevant experience).
- Experience in a Sales Engineer, Application Engineer, Technical Sales, or Field Engineer role.
- Strong understanding of electrical components, with a clear advantage for candidates who have:
- Experience with printed circuit boards (PCBs), PCB assembly, or electronic modules.
- Ability to read schematics, PCB layouts, and technical drawings.
- Proven ability to interface with engineering, purchasing, and leadership stakeholders at customer sites.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills-able to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, commercial context.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and occasionally to international locations as needed.
Preferred:
- Experience selling into automotive, industrial, electronics, or related manufacturing environments.
- Prior exposure to global manufacturing organizations or joint-venture environments.
- Familiarity with quality standards and reliability requirements common in high-volume manufacturing.
