Estimator - Office Renovations
The Estimator - Office Renovations is responsible for analyzing project plans, materials, labor, and costs to prepare accurate bids and budgets for construction projects. They collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure cost-effective planning and successful project execution.

Our Client is a well-established Manhattan General Contractor with a 30 year track record of small-scale Commercial Office renovations. Strong Pipeline of repeat business and new clients through 2026. Collaborative, tight-knit team culture.
Description
- Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Develop accurate and competitive bids for commercial interior construction projects.
- Source and negotiate pricing with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Assess labor, material, and equipment costs to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to refine project budgets and scopes.
- Identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities in project planning.
- Prepare and present cost reports and proposals to senior management and clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends, local building codes, and market pricing for materials and labor.
- Maintain a database of historical project costs to improve future estimating accuracy.
- Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project budgets while maintaining quality and design intent.
Profile
- 5+ years estimator experience
- Must have worked with commercial interiors GC
- Strong understanding of commercial office renovation processes, materials, and building codes
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and contracts
- Skilled in using estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, ProEst, or Sage Estimating)
- Knowledge of cost structures, labor rates, and subcontractor pricing for office renovations
- Ability to conduct site visits and assess project scope accurately
