VP of Development
My client are seeking a strategic, results-driven Vice President of Development to lead and oversee all aspects of their development pipeline. This senior leadership role requires a hands-on developer with expertise in site acquisition, entitlements, design coordination, financial structuring, and project management to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Description
- Lead the development team in identifying, evaluating, and acquiring new development opportunities aligned with company goals.
- Oversee budgeting, financial analysis, and project pro formas to ensure profitable project execution.
- Collaborate with construction, leasing, and asset management teams to ensure seamless project delivery and handoff.
- Coordination with architects, engineers, local government agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with landowners, local officials, lenders, joint venture partners, and consultants.
- Drive strategic planning and growth initiatives, identifying market trends and emerging opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the internal development team.
Profile
- Significant development experience, preferably within multifamily, commercial or industrial real estate.
- Proven track record managing projects from acquisition through entitlement, design, construction, and stabilization.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in complex pro forma modeling and capital stack structuring.
- Deep understanding of local and regional entitlement processes and community engagement.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
