Senior Accountant - CPG
This role will directly report to the Senior Accounting Manager and contribute to the Finance team, which caters to the financial requirements of the organization. The right candidate will have superb analytical and financial accounting expertise, coupled with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. The perfect fit would be someone who is proactive, committed, adaptable, and capable of managing numerous projects concurrently.
Client Details
Our Client is the brand new US Operations of an international homegoods corporation that also has subsidiaries in Cosmetics and other CPG brands. They just launched the US business this year and are in high growth mode!
Description
- Oversee the month-end financial close process.
- Manage records of all financial and accounting transactions within SAP.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations for all relevant G/L accounts.
- Generate reports and analyses concerning financial data and metrics, including tasks such as cash forecasting, sales statistics, and monthly net sales reports.
- Assist in the review and processing of commission payouts.
- Offer assistance with vendor payments.
- Review travel expense reports and facilitate payments.
- Assess overdue accounts and initiate collection procedures as required.
- Rectify discrepancies in accounts or billings, such as processing refunds or chargebacks.
- Fulfill audit requirements, both internal and external, as necessary.
- Provide assistance with ad-hoc projects when required.
Profile
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of pertinent experience, ideally encompassing international operations, manufacturing, and consumer products.
- CPA and/or public accounting experience a huge plus.
- Additional advantageous qualifications include familiarity with SAP and/or CPM planning software.
- Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing improvement.
- Shows active listening skills, adept at interpreting and responding to challenges effectively.
- Proven experience in fostering robust relationships within an entrepreneurial setting.
