Construction Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to support the execution of large-scale ground-up, wood-frame multifamily projects across Northern New Jersey. Description

• Support the Superintendent in managing all on-site construction activities from site mobilization through project completion.
• Oversee daily field operations, including coordination of trades, scheduling, and safety enforcement.
• Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and assist in resolving field issues proactively.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, site reports, and progress documentation.
• Assist with project inspections, punch lists, and close-out activities.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration on site.

Profile

• 3-7 years of field experience in multifamily construction, with a focus on ground-up wood-frame projects.
• Strong understanding of building systems, sequencing, and construction documentation.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with field teams, subcontractors, and management.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Proactive problem solver with a strong work ethic and desire to advance into a Superintendent role.
