Maintenance Engineer - Industrial Manufacturing - Sterling, MA
Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of injection molding machines and related auxiliary equipment. This is a hands-on, first shift position at a 24/7 Industrial Manufacturing operation.

Description
Some of the responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with the installation of new equipment, including injection molding machines, robotics, and auxiliary systems.
- Diagnose and repair issues in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems to restore equipment functionality.
- Perform component testing and calibration using hand tools, power tools, and measurement devices, referencing manufacturer guidelines and troubleshooting techniques.
- Repair and adjust pick-and-place tooling and mechanical control systems; calibrate and fine-tune operation points.
- Work with automation, robotics, and material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance tasks as outlined by the project manager.
- Carry out equipment calibrations and re-qualifications on a routine basis.
- Support process technicians and supervisors with the setup and teardown of processing equipment
Profile
A successful Maintenance Engineer will have the following qualifications:
- Education: Technical trade school certification, associate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Experience:
Minimum 5 years of maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing environment. - Prior experience working in a 24/7 production environment.
- In-depth knowledge of injection molding equipment, with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with material handling systems, automation, and robotics.
