Assistant Project Manager
Join a top-tier GC as an Assistant Project Manager supporting interior fit-outs for high-end commercial spaces across Manhattan. This role offers hands-on experience managing complex projects and collaborating with top architects and clients.

The client is a well-established general contractor with a robust portfolio of Class A commercial interior projects throughout New York City. Known for their collaborative culture and precision in execution, they partner with Fortune 500 clients, financial institutions, and leading real estate developers to deliver spaces that blend functionality with aesthetic excellence.
Description
Support Project Managers in all phases of project delivery from preconstruction through closeout.
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and clients to ensure timely and quality execution.
Assist with schedule development, RFI and submittal tracking, document control, and meeting minutes.
Monitor project budgets, track change orders, and support procurement activities.
Ensure on-site compliance with safety and quality standards by conducting walkthroughs and collaborating with superintendents.
Profile
You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about commercial interiors. You bring at least 2 years of APM experience on NYC fit-out projects and thrive in fast-paced, client-facing environments. Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project is a plus.
2+ years of experience as an APM on commercial interior construction projects
Experience working with NYC subcontractors and permit processes
Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project (preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a collaborative team environment
Working knowledge of construction drawings, specs, and documents
