A leading general contractor based right outside of Boston is seeking an estimator to join their team. They will look at applicants with 1 - 10+ years of experience across various market sectors.

Description

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, and time requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to analyze project requirements.
• Review and evaluate project drawings, plans, and specifications to determine scope and budget.
• Identify potential risks and provide solutions to minimize project costs without compromising quality.
• Source and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors for competitive pricing and quality services.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and construction techniques.
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to estimated costs and timelines.
