Description

• Oversee quality assurance and control processes to ensure product compliance with industry standards at the Syracuse, NY facility
• Manage and review technical documentation, including drawings and data packages
• Lead the development and maintenance of work instructions and production support materials
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, including AS9100, and conduct internal audits
• Support the production team with tooling, assembly processes, and process optimization
• Interface with customers on quality issues and manage corrective action reports
• Conduct inspections and ensure calibration of quality equipment per manufacturer guidelines
• Develop and implement training programs for manufacturing and quality procedures
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce variation and optimize workflows
• Collaborate on technical planning, system integration, and validation for production systems
• Review and approve documentation for production support and customer deliveries
• Support technical meetings and ensure alignment with customer requirements and schedules

Profile

The Quality Manager (Aerospace) candidate will have:

• 5+ years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in quality management or engineering
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards, including AS9100
• Experience in quality assurance and control processes
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting system diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
• Familiarity with Military mechanical and electrical drawings
• Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation and work instructions
• Strong problem-solving skills in production and process development
• Experience with production support, tooling, and assembly processes
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and SolidWorks (or similar software)
• Ability to lead and train teams, with excellent organizational skills
• Experience in customer interactions and managing corrective action reports
• Understanding of calibration and inspection procedures for quality equipment
