Director, Commercial Finance

Partnering closely with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Operations, R&D, and Finance, the Director of Commercial Finance will lead pricing strategy, revenue reporting, planning, and analysis. This role works hand-in-hand with commercial teams-including sales account management and product management-to deliver actionable insights that drive business performance.

• Act as a strategic finance partner to the Commercial organization, providing insights across pipeline conversion, gross-to-net analysis, pricing, and monthly/quarterly financial performance
• Lead efforts to strengthen revenue forecasting capabilities and guide commercial decision-making around pricing strategy, margin expansion, and pricing tools
• Facilitate and lead a cross-functional Revenue Council to establish and govern global pricing frameworks
• Oversee pricing programs, rebate structures, discount approvals, and inventory-related financial programs to optimize revenue and profitability
• Manage the Sales Incentive Plan in partnership with HR, including plan design, payout processes, and governance
• Collaborate cross-functionally on Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) to align demand forecasts with operational execution
• Co-lead financial oversight of new product development, ensuring strong ROI discipline and implementing KPIs to track post-launch performance
• Drive strategic analyses and special projects that inform executive decision-making and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Support long-range planning, including competitive analysis, market expansion opportunities, and new product investment decisions
• Prepare financial analysis, insights, and presentation materials for executive leadership and Board-level discussions
• Partner across the organization to identify and implement operational efficiencies that support scalable growth
• Take on additional ad hoc projects and responsibilities as needed in a dynamic environment

Profile

• Proven experience in commercial pricing, market analysis, contract negotiations, and commercialization processes
• Exposure to global sales and manufacturing environments preferred
• Background in process or manufacturing industries, including experience with index-based pricing models, is highly desirable
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to structure and evaluate complex business opportunities
• Demonstrated agility and ability to adapt in fast-paced, evolving environments
• Advanced financial modeling skills (e.g., forecasting, P&L analysis, NPV/ROI modeling)
• Strong Excel skills required; experience with tools such as Oracle, Salesforce (or other CRM systems), and Power BI is a plus
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering results in lean or growth-oriented environments
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to senior leadership and board-level audiences
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of relevant corporate finance experience
