Manufacturing Engineer
The Manufacturing Engineer will play a role in every phase of our client's manufacturing processes, from quote to final production. The Manufacturing Engineer will work to optimize repeat and one-off manufacturing processes based on customer needs & internal capabilities. The Manufacturing Engineer will report directly to the Engineering Manager, working alongside them to help expand your skill set and open multiple avenues for growth within the company
Client Details
Our client is an industry leading contract power tool manufacturer selling directly to major retail stores and Amazon. They are undergoing rapid growth and are investing a ton of resources into upgrading the capabilities of the production site. To facilitate the exciting growth happening at the national and international sites, they are seeking a new Manufacturing Engineer to join the team.
Description
Main duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Spearhead projects centered around LEAN/CI initiatives to reduce production costs & material waste
- Work across different teams including quality control & design
- Assist in a production changeover from China to either Thailand or Vietnam
- Sourcing materials or machinery
- Troubleshoot production issues as needed
- Ability to travel 3 to 4 times a year internationally
- Based on customer prints, optimize manufacturing processes/workflow to ensure most efficient production
- Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for process improvement
- Assist in quoting activities based on customer requests
- Design & implement fixtures & jigs to implement into production

Profile
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- 4+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment, injection molding background strongly preferred
- Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing/Continuous Improvement principles
- Familiarity with quality management systems
- Demonstrated project management skills, with focus on time management & budget constraints
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Job Offer
- Base salary $80,000 - $90,000 depending on level of experience
- Discretionary bonus based on company performance (usually around $10,000)
- 4 weeks PTO
