Director, Application Support
This role leads global Application Support teams across Windows and Unix functions, ensuring operational stability of the production environment and middleware platforms. This person will serve as the primary escalation point for service-impacting issues and work closely with engineering, development, and business stakeholders to manage deployments, drive process improvements, and uphold high service standards.

The client is a globally recognized financial market infrastructure provider specializing in settlement, processing, and risk mitigation.
Description
Candidate must have prior expereince managing and leading Application Support teams within a Financial Services firm.
Lead and manage global Application Support teams across Windows and Unix operations to ensure stable and efficient support coverage.
Act as the primary escalation point for high-impact application issues, including out-of-hours incidents.
Oversee the operational stability of business-critical applications and middleware platforms, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
Collaborate closely with Application Development and Engineering teams to manage deployments, releases, and ongoing support needs.
Drive process improvements and modernize support methodologies to align with best practices and enhance service delivery.
Profile
Brings strong team management experience supporting business-critical production environments.
Demonstrates deep knowledge of both Windows and Linux application support, with familiarity in middleware technologies like MQ and WebSphere.
Has a solid grasp of ITIL practices, especially in change control and incident management.
Experienced in working within regulated financial environments, with a focus on governance, risk, and compliance.
Possesses a service-oriented mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
Job Offer
The compensation package includes a competitive base salary ranging from $170,000 to $185,000, with a significant, discretionary target bonus. Additional benefits include 26 vacation days and a robust 401(k) package.
