Senior Tax Analyst - SALT - 100% REMOTE

Description

The key responsibilities of this role include the following:

• Develop and implement sophisticated tax planning strategies, focusing specifically on sales and use tax issues.
• Conduct in-depth research on state and local tax (SALT) matters and interpret new legislation.
• Act as the main point of contact for key clients, providing strategic guidance on tax-related issues.
• Lead and oversee sales and use tax audits.
• Mentor junior associates to support their professional growth.
• Maintain thorough documentation for sales and use tax positions and ensure compliance with all requirements.

Profile

The ideal candidate will posess the following qualities:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in sales and use tax consulting within a public accounting firm
• Deep understanding of sales and use tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of various tax software
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
