Client Details
Our client is a sub 100 employee industrial engineering / manufacturing company located in Central North Massachusetts. They are skyrocketing in growth with the rise of electrification and seeking a Senior Product Manager for their Material Handling Market Segment. This role reports to the Director of Marketing and Product and can lead a team quickly.
Description
Product Strategy, Market Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive product strategies, aligning them with the company's overall business objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Define product positioning and messaging, highlighting key features and benefits to differentiate our products in the market.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, and sales, to drive product development and launch plans.
New Product Development & Product Roadmaps:
- Lead the product development process from idea generation to launch, ensuring timely execution and adherence to quality standards.
- Define product specifications, pricing strategies, and distribution plans for new product introductions.
- Develop product roadmaps to meet evolving market requirements.
Marketing:
- Collaborate with regional marketing teams to adapt marketing strategies to local market requirements.
- Monitor and analyze market and sales data to measure product performance and identify areas for improvement.
Key Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and customers to gain insights and drive customer-centric product development.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to provide training, support, and sales tools to ensure successful product launches and ongoing sales growth.
Customer Central:
- Travel to visit Key Clients and stakeholders. Build relationships with customers and internal sales members to continuing defining product strategy.
- Work with clients on recommended product launch strategies including pricing, training, and selling.
Profile
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing or related field desired.
- 10-15+ years in an engineering, sales engineering, or product role within Industrial Manufacturing.
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in product management,sales engineering, application engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering, electrical conductive products.
- Strong business acumen and ability to develop and execute strategic product plans.
- Prior leadership experience is nice to have.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed (up to 30% of the time).
Job Offer
- $130,000 - $160,000 base salary, depending on experience + bonus
