Description
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and improving tooling used in metal stamping, machining, and fabrication processes. This role partners closely with the tool room, production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure tooling meets all performance, safety, and cost objectives..
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing tooling, fixtures, dies, and jigs using CAD software.
- Supporting tool room and production teams with troubleshooting, manufacturability improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Leading tooling updates, documentation, design reviews, and tooling support for new product introduction.
Profile
The ideal Manufacturing Engineer brings hands‑on experience in tooling design, manufacturing engineering, or metal stamping environments.
This person is highly skilled in CAD, comfortable working cross‑functionally, and able to translate customer requirements into practical, manufacturable tooling solutions.
Top qualifications include:
- B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of tooling design experience, including fixtures, jigs, dies, or production tooling.
- Strong CAD proficiency, analytical abilities, and experience in a machining or fabrication environment.
