Description



Responsibilities:

  • Direct the design, development, and enhancement of production equipment and processes to boost efficiency.
  • Partner with customers, vendors, and internal teams to define requirements for new and transfer programs.
  • Integrate new equipment and machine setups seamlessly into existing operations.
  • Assess and recommend third-party or custom-built solutions aligned with long-term goals.
  • Manage engineering aspects of major programs from concept through completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement automation strategies to streamline operations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of specifications, progress reports, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with customer standards, company policies, and industry regulations.


Profile



Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
  • 5-7+ years of medical device development experience, preferably in spinal or orthopedic instruments.
  • Direct collaboration experience with U.S. spine surgeons.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
  • Strong understanding of design controls, risk management, and regulatory pathways.
