Manufacturing Engineer - Aerospace - Somersworth, NH
This Manufacturing Engineer role supports the production of advanced 3D woven composite engine components by optimizing processes, developing documentation, and driving continuous improvement.
The position combines hands‑on manufacturing engagement with data-driven engineering, cross-functional collaboration, and project ownership.

Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the full production lifecycle of composite components, including prepreg layup, bonding, coating, vacuum bagging, and autoclave curing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and visual standards.
- Support operator training, troubleshooting, and daily production activities on the shop floor.
- Identify and implement automation, Lean, and process optimization opportunities.
Profile
The ideal Manufacturing Engineer is a self‑driven engineer with experience in composite manufacturing or related processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a hands‑on production environment. They excel at balancing technical rigor with practical problem-solving and communicate effectively across functions to support efficient operations.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience.
- Understanding of composite manufacturing, adhesive bonding, and cure cycles.
- Strong documentation, project management, and data‑driven decision‑making skills.
