Senior Packaging Engineer
My client is looking for a Senior Packaging Engineer, this person will focus on all aspects of packaging solutions for retail displays, bundles, and any other secondary packaging.

My client is a company that focuses on creating personal care products from natural ingredients. They focus on soaps, hair care, toothpaste and deodorants.
Description
- Develop and design innovative packaging solutions that enhance product functionality, elevate the user experience, and prioritize sustainability.
- Perform material and structural evaluations to ensure packaging meets performance standards while optimizing cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with external vendors to guarantee packaging designs are scalable and manufacturable.
- Lead the R&D process for packaging innovation in new categories, working closely with internal teams and external partners.
- Secure physical packaging prototypes and manage the cross-functional approval process to ensure alignment.
- Effectively oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve organizational goals.
- Travel as necessary to support project launches and ongoing execution, including attending line trials, assessing packaging suppliers, and addressing quality issues.
- Direct packaging tests and simulations to validate designs and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with suppliers to identify and assess new materials and technologies for packaging innovation.
- Offer technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional collaborators.
- Monitor industry trends, sustainability advancements, and consumer insights to drive continuous improvements in packaging design.
Profile
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in physical packaging development within the CPG industry, ideally in personal care.
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Design, Industrial Design, or a related discipline is a NICE to have but not a must have
- Deep understanding of packaging materials, emerging technologies, and sustainable practices.
- Demonstrated success in managing projects and collaborating across teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (portfolio required); familiarity with 3D printing is a bonus.
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with a track record of resourcefulness in start-up settings.
- Interest in industries such as health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce.
- A proactive individual who thrives in ambiguity, brings creativity to problem-solving, and works with urgency.
- A results-oriented person with high standards, who takes ownership and is deeply committed to delivering outcomes.
