Process Engineer - Rubber Manufacturing - Somersworth, NH
The Process Engineer will report to the Director of Engineering and work closely with the operations and quality teams. This role will focus on leading the development of new products, enhancing existing products and processes, and troubleshooting processing issues.

Description
- Adhere to all safety requirements, company policies, and procedures, and report any safety violations or hazardous conditions to supervisors or the Safety Committee.
- Promote safe practices throughout the shop floor.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues on the manufacturing floor.
- Implement process improvements to increase yield and improve cycle times.
- Conduct reviews of new tooling.
- Develop new processes for injection, compression, and transfer molding, including material preparation, die cutting, post-curing, and deflashing processes.
- Assess product and process quality to reduce process-related defects.
- Design and procure necessary fixtures.
- Determine tooling modifications and coordinate tooling repair/refurbishment.
- Create and maintain process documentation.
- Collaborate with tooling vendors to ensure tools function as intended and that the resulting products meet customer specifications.
- Develop primary and secondary operations, including outside processes, to meet customer requirements and safety standards.
- Work with customer service and quality teams during validation to ensure all customer requirements are met.
- Transition processes from development to production, providing training as needed.
Profile
- Bachelors of Engineering
- 3+ Years Process Engineering Experience
- Strong Rubber Manufacturing Knowledge
- Project Management Experience
- Strong Design skills (SolidWorks)
