AP Specialist

Our client is looking for an AP Specialist to join the team. They will be focusing on all Accounts Payable tasks from A to Z

Description

• Receive packing slips and match to receiving log
• Match invoices and enter into system
• Add and update vendor information
• Print checks and obtain proper signatures before mailing
• General Ledger reconciliations
• Prepare month end journal entries
• Generate month end reports
• Process expense reports
• Calculate Use Tax and remit to proper taxing authority
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computer and posting and recording accounts payable data
• Verify discrepancies and resolve issues
• Other duties assigned by Management

Profile

• An Associate Degree with a major in Accounting is preferable.
• Must effectively communicate both oral and written communications in a professional manner.
• Must have good organizational and planning skills.
• Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
