Benefits Manager - Fulltime in Office - $95k-$125k
Our client is looking for a Benefits Manager to lead the strategy, administration, and compliance of all employee benefit programs, including health, retirement, wellness, and leave management. This role serves as a key partner to HR and leadership, ensuring competitive, cost-effective plans that support employee well-being across multiple states. This role is full-time on-site in Santa Paula, CA. Bilingual in English & Spanish is preferred.
Client Details
Our client is a food distribution company with operations spanning the U.S. and international markets. They partner with retailers and food-service providers to deliver high-quality, seasonal offerings year-round. The Benefits Manager will report to their Santa Paula office five days a week.
The Benefits Manager will make sure employees have access to health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks like wellness programs and time-off benefits. They handle everything from working with vendors and answering employee questions to making sure the plans are fair, cost-effective, and meet all legal requirements. This position reports into the Director of HR and will work closely with HR, Accounting, and Legal, as well as external vendors.
Description
Manage and oversee employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and wellness plans
Partner with vendors and brokers to ensure competitive, cost-effective offerings
Ensure compliance with regulations like ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and manage audits
Support union and non-union employee benefit needs across multiple locations

Lead benefits communications, open enrollment, and employee education initiatives
Profile
Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, laws, and compliance requirements
Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating benefit plans
Ability to support both union and non-union employee populations
- Ability to be on-site five days a week in Santa Paula, CA.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
Job Offer
- $95k-$125k salary depending on candidate's experience
