Manufacturing - Director of Facilities - Lawrence, MA
The Director of Facilities will oversee the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of multiple buildings and equipment. This role includes managing facility modifications, budgeting, and scheduling, while ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards. You will lead strategic initiatives such as new site selection and greenfield construction, and optimize operational efficiency across multiple locations.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage design, planning, and maintenance of facilities and equipment
- Develop budgets, schedules, and cost estimates for facility projects
- Lead greenfield construction planning and site selection
- Oversee space allocation and layout for major facilities
- Ensure compliance with building codes, fire codes, and safety regulations
- Direct preventive maintenance and contractor services (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Negotiate contracts for custodial, security, landscaping, and other services
- Provide leadership to EH&S team to maintain safe work environments
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- 15+ years of progressive experience in facilities management within manufacturing or electronics
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Proven experience with greenfield construction projects
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, humidity control, ESD compliance)
- Excellent leadership, project management, and budgeting skills
- Ability to resolve complex issues and manage multiple priorities
