Trade Finance Consultant

This role involves managing trade finance transactions, including letters of credit and reimbursements, while ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely communication with clients. Description

• Manage and process trade finance transactions, including letters of credit and reimbursements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal protocols.
• Collaborate with senior team members and clients to clarify transaction details and reduce the risk of processing errors.
• Provide timely guidance and updates to clients on amendments and regulatory compliance related to trade documentation.
• Act as a liaison between internal operations teams and external stakeholders to support smooth transaction execution and issue resolution.
• Maintain organized records of all correspondence and documentation to support audit readiness and operational efficiency.
• Support digital and manual processing tasks such as scanning and logging incoming trade documents to ensure timely workflow integration.

Profile

• Prior experience in trade finance operations, particularly with letters of credit, reimbursements, and loan-related documentation.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations and compliance standards, with the ability to interpret and apply them in transactional contexts.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and clarify transaction details.
• Familiarity with document handling processes, including scanning, recordkeeping, and correspondence management in a financial services environment.
• Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional setting with exposure to offshore operations or centralized processing teams.
