Client Details

My client, a respected and well-established general contractor with a strong presence across Southern and Central California, is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their preconstruction team in Lake Elsinore.

Description

• Lead the preparation and submission of hard bids from $10M to $100M as a senior estimator

• Analyze bid documents including drawings, specifications, soils reports, and front-end requirements

• Perform quantity take-offs and cost estimates across all CSI divisions

• Develop and maintain relationships with key subcontractors and suppliers

• Conduct subcontractor scoping, pricing analysis, and buyout recommendations

• Coordinate closely with project management, operations, and executives to ensure aligned bid strategies

• Stay current on market trends, construction methods, and material pricing

• Represent the company in pre-bid meetings and proposal presentations when required

Profile

• 7-10 years of estimating experience with a general contractor

• Deep understanding of building and construction subcontractor markets in:

  • San Diego

  • Los Angeles

  • Inland Empire

  • Central Valley

  • Santa Barbara

• Proven experience managing hard bids in the $10M-$100M range

• Ability to independently review, interpret, and analyze bid documents

• Strong scoping and buyout skills with an ability to negotiate effectively

• Resides in or within a 1-hour commute to Lake Elsinore (Temecula Valley preferred)

Job Offer

• Competitive Senior Estimator salary range of $130,000 - $160,000, depending on experience
