Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift - Springfield, MA
Our client is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee, train, and support production teams, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency goals are met while driving continuous improvement. This role involves managing production schedules, coordinating with various departments, and maintaining accurate inventory and records, all while adhering to company policies and standards.

* Oversee, coordinate, train, coach, and supervise the daily activities of employees engaged in the production process within assigned departments, ensuring that safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and labor utilization goals are met.
* Manage the efficient flow of materials through the department, utilising manpower and equipment effectively.
* Develop and implement continuous improvement plans for equipment and overall department operations.
* Develop and monitor the yearly department budget, working to reduce production and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) costs.
* Build strong working relationships with other departments such as Planning, Sales, Engineering, Production, and Business Development.
* Ensure adherence to company policies, work rules, and Union Contract; effectively apply this knowledge to:
- Resolve work problems or assist workers in problem-solving.
- Maintain accurate time and attendance records.
- Coordinate activities between departments in consultation with Group Leaders and employees.
- Ensure accurate department inventory.
- Make daily decisions related to production schedules and personnel matters affecting delivery and quality.
* Meet these goals with high ethical standards, while ensuring compliance with all company policies, work rules, Union Contracts, and applicable laws with minimal supervision.
Profile
Bachelor or Associates in Mechanical Engineering
3+ Years of Manufacturing Experience
Excellent Communication and Organisational Skills
Automotive Industry Experience
Job Offer
Competitive Base Salary of $75,000-$90,000
